Welcome to River Walkers Minerals—where Earth’s rarest stories are brought to light, one specimen at a time.
Founded by Nesta (aka Jess) in 2023, River Walkers Minerals is the result of a lifelong love affair with the natural world. Nesta’s journey began at just seven years old, digging up real dinosaur fossils in Montana alongside professional paleontologists. (She even made it into a science magazine for uncovering a T. Rex tooth.) Summers during her childhood were spent combing Michigan’s northern shores for Petoskey stones and other natural treasures.
That spark never left. Over the past 25 years, Nesta has gone from backyard fossil hunter to trusted curator—hand-selecting extraordinary minerals, fossils, and artifacts from around the world. Every piece on this website has been personally sourced through ethical, reputable suppliers and examined with a keen collector’s eye for quality, integrity, and geological wonder.
River Walkers Minerals is built on trust, transparency, and awe.
We never carry lab-grown, dyed, or altered specimens—only naturally formed pieces, with the occasional polished gem that’s just too special to pass up (and always clearly noted).
About our logo: The Yin-Yang symbol has always held deep meaning for me, which is why I chose to weave it into the River Walkers Minerals logo. As a family of Libras, balance is the foundation of how we see and move through life. The Yin-Yang perfectly mirrors that philosophy—reminding us that light and dark, strength and softness, expansion and rest all coexist in harmony. Just as every mineral forms through a delicate balance of forces within the Earth, we believe our lives, too, are shaped by the interplay of opposites working together. For me, this symbol represents alignment, equilibrium, and the beauty that emerges when everything finds its rightful place. -Nesta

Yet another great piece from River Walkers! This is our second piece from River Walkers from Vietnam, and it's just as beautiful as our first piece.
If you love quartz, you would love this piece, as it was just as advertised and pictured. As always, it is perfectly cleaned and in excellent condition.

Once again, I have been impressed by the beauty, quality, service, and value that I have received from River Walker Minerals. I have bought many pieces from them online and in person at shows, and I have never been let down by the quality or the unique pieces available. Often, I have found that the pictures do not do the piece justice, as the physical item is so much more impressive. Again, this is the case with the Chlorite Phantom Quartz Cluster. If you are a lover of quartz, you cannot fail to be amazed at the depth of color and the amazing phantoms. The crystal growth patterns are picture-perfect.
Additionally, shipping was very fast (arrived in 2 days), and the packaging was a thing of beauty itself. The clumsiest delivery person couldn’t damage this piece if they tried.

I’ve been looking for a statement in this material, and I definitely found it! Such a beautiful piece with such a unique mix of materials that I’ve never seen together before. To my surprise, each piece of fluorite is coated in gold sparkly pyrite. It also has calcite and quartz inclusions. I love how it came with the locality card. Highly recommended to anyone who has never shopped here before. I will be back! 😊🫶🏻 (or if this is for the lightning strike court piece, I am just as happy!
