This naturally terminated tourmaline features a vibrant lime-green body that transitions into a bright aqua-blue tip, creating a beautiful two-tone crystal with exceptional visual appeal. The crisp termination, glossy prism faces, and natural vertical striations give it a classic, well-formed tourmaline habit.
Tourmaline is one of the few minerals that can display multiple colors within a single crystal as its chemistry changes during growth. This specimen is a great example of that process, with bold color zoning and excellent transparency that really comes alive in the light.
Itinga, in Brazilโs Jequitinhonha Valley, is one of the worldโs most famous tourmaline localities, known for producing beautifully colored crystals in an incredible range of hues. Fine, transparent specimens from this region have been sought after by collectors for decades.
