An ultra-sparkly black amethyst from Artigas, Uruguay, permanently mounted on a metal display stand. The face is completely covered in fine druzy crystals, giving it a glitter-like sparkle even in low light.

One of my favorite details on this piece is the collection of polished stalactite “eyes” visible across the face. These circular formations are cross-sections of stalactitic growths that were cut and polished, revealing their internal banding. Grey-toned agate borders and banding can also be seen around the edges, creating a beautiful contrast against the jet-black crystal surface.
