This is a really fascinating transformation piece with a lot going on. It began as a double-terminated dogtooth calcite crystal that was later coated in colorful druzy quartz. Over time, parts of the original calcite were naturally etched away and reopened, then lined again with fresh sparkling druzy growth. The result is a specimen with colorful brilliance and multiple generations of mineralization all visible at once.
Additionally, a bright cluster of orange-pink sugar quartz adds a strong pop of color, while two horizontal bladed calcite crystals project from the main formation and give the piece even more aesthetics.
