This cutbase specimen from Artigas, Uruguay features soft lavender amethyst surrounding a large, gemmy double-terminated calcite crystal. The calcite is naturally coated in sparkling druzy goethite, creating a dramatic contrast between the transparent crystal and its metallic black sparkle. Under UV light, the calcite fluoresces beautifully!

The upright cut base makes this an excellent display piece, with the prominent double-terminated calcite appearing to emerge from the amethyst crystal pocket. A unique combination of color, texture, and fluorescence that stands out from the typical Artigas material.
