A beautifully aesthetic cluster from the Casteel Mine featuring two highly gemmy calcite crystals with warm golden-champagne color and excellent translucency. The crystals intersect at different angles, giving the piece an interesting winged formation that looks completely different depending on how it’s displayed. Scattered along the base and portions of the crystals are metallic chalcopyrite accents, adding flashes of brassy gold against the glassy calcite. Despite its smaller size, this one has a lot going on- the combination of clarity, color, crystal arrangement, and contrasting sulfides makes it an especially photogenic example of classic Missouri mineralization.
