High Luster Natural Black Smoky Quartz- Vietnam | River Walkers Minerals

This is one of those pieces that stops you in your tracks. An intensely dark, nearly black smoky quartz point with outstanding natural luster and sharp, well-formed terminations.

Quartz this dark in completely natural, unheated condition is extremely hard to come by. To find smoky quartz with such deep saturation while still retaining strong luster, defined crystal form, and clean aesthetics is genuinely uncommon, which is exactly why pieces like this stand out to experienced collectors.

The faces are lined with pronounced horizontal striations that catch the light beautifully and give the crystals extreme shine. Depending on the angle, the surface flashes like polished glass while the body stays rich and inky. On one side of the crystal, the faces are coated in micro tourmaline which adds sparkles all over!

No enhancement, no treatments. Just exceptional natural color straight from the earth. 

Specimens from Nghệ An have become increasingly sought after for their bold tone and distinctive look, and this is a museum-worthy example.
