A stunning miniature elbaite tourmaline displaying several distinct natural color zones within a single crystal. The sharply terminated crystal features a deep forest-green body, a vivid raspberry-pink band just below the termination, then a soft gradient of purple, blue, and olive-green tones toward the base. Excellent transparency and crisp prism faces allow the layered colors to shift beautifully as the crystal is viewed from different angles, making this a remarkable collector’s specimen despite its small size.

São José da Safira is one of Minas Gerais’ most famous pegmatite localities, producing some of Brazil’s finest colorful elbaite tourmalines. Naturally zoned crystals like this are especially prized because each specimen records subtle changes in the chemistry of the mineral-forming fluids during growth.
