This exceptional specimen features the less common ocean-blue to green dodecahedral fluorite habit from the famous Milpo-Atacocha Mine. Unlike the classic lime-green octahedral fluorites this locality is best known for, these deeper blue specimens have a completely different character. The color and transparency evoke tropical seawater, while delicate boulangerite inclusions drift through the fluorite like strands beneath the surface.
The fluorite is beautifully complemented by lustrous metallic galena, sparkling pyrite, and geocronite, creating a dramatic contrast against the translucent crystal faces. Fine pyrite inclusions within the fluorite add even more dimension, rewarding close inspection from every angle.
These ocean-blue dodecahedrons are every bit as desirable in their own right, and rival the classic lime-green octahedrals. Their rich color, unusual inclusions, and distinctive crystal habit make them some of the most captivating specimens to come from this world-famous locality.
