One-of-a-Kind Quartz with Fluorite, Pyrite- Yaoganxian | River Walkers Minerals

This is such a strange and incredibly sculptural piece from the Yaogangxian Mine. Two long, double-terminated quartz crystals are naturally attached to one another, creating an unusual offset formation that looks like two separate crystals growing into a single specimen. The larger point has a white phantom inside the tip, and several smaller quartz points are also attached along the piece. 

Scattered across the quartz are bright teal-blue fluorite cubes, perched directly along the crystal faces and edges. Their saturated color stands out beautifully against the nearly colorless quartz. Two small, distinct pyrite crystals are nestled on the back side, and smaller patches of metallic pyrite are also present. There are also smaller patches of mica and other sulfate minerals scattered. 

What makes this specimen especially interesting is the overall composition. Rather than a typical quartz cluster, it has a long, narrow, artistic shape with crystallization occurring from multiple directions. The further you zoom into this piece, the more inclusions you will see! The double terminations remain visible on both major quartz crystals, making it a really unusual example of the complex multi-mineral associations Yaogangxian is known for.
