This impressive cutbase specimen features two large creamy calcite crystals perched on a sparkling bed of deep purple amethyst. The two larger calcites display incredible stepped, cubic pixel-like growth patterns abore a delicate coating of sugary druzy quartz, creating an unusually textured surface. Another calcite is accented by two contrasting bands of black goethite, with additional goethite crystals scattered throughout the amethyst.
The upright cut base showcases the specimen beautifully from every angle, with rich purple amethyst providing the perfect backdrop for the sculptural calcite crystals. A highly aesthetic display piece with exceptional texture, contrast, and mineral association.
