This is a really beautiful Missouri calcite featuring two large main crystals naturally stacked across one another, giving the piece a tall, sculptural shape. The calcite has a warm pale yellow to champagne color with gEmmy translucency, lots of internal detail, and naturally textured growth across the crystal faces.
The backside is completely different from the front and is covered in dolomite and golden pyrite, making this one just as interesting to turn around and look at from the other side. Small flashes of pyrite are also scattered around the calcite near the base. A great example of the mineral combinations found at the Casteel Mine, with an especially nice overall formation.
Please note: Minerals are natural formations and may have small imperfections, contact points, minor chips, or other characteristics associated with their natural growth and extraction. Colors may vary slightly depending on lighting and screen settings. Please review all photos and videos carefully to see the exact quality and condition of the specimen before purchasing. You will receive the exact specimen shown. All sales are final.
