A beautiful fossil bone fragment that was once a part of a Tyrannosaurus rex femur, collected from the Hell Creek Formation in Montana. This piece has excellent surface texture with natural cracking, warm tan/brown mineralization, and dark dendritic mineral patterns across the bone. The dendrites give it a fern-like, spotted look, which formed from minerals moving through the fossil over time.
The age of this fossil is approximately 66–68 million years old, (Cretaceous Period). This piece has been naturally restored.
