This is an incredible smoky quartz scepter from the famous 2017 find in Quế Phong, Vietnam. Since this discovery, the locality has closed, making these specimens increasingly difficult to find.

The crystal features a beautifully defined scepter with soft amethyst patches throughout the smoky head. Several enhydros with great movement are preserved within the crystal, while the stem is dotted with sparkling mica inclusions that contrast beautifully against the quartz.

One of my favorite features is the natural thatched growth pattern across the termination and under a layer of smooth clear quartz. The tip displays an unusual textured surface that gives the specimen a completely different look from most smoky scepters.

Between the scepter growth, amethyst coloration, multiple enhydros, mica inclusions, and its provenance from the original 2017 Quế Phong discovery, this is a specimen with a lot to appreciate and one that would be difficult to replace today.
